As we head into the end of summer, we’re gearing up for a busy month! Live on the Green is back as in other local favorites such as the Williamson County Fair and the Tomato Art Fest! New festivals are also popping up so make sure to mark your calendars and prepare yourself for a whole lot of fun!

August 3-11: Williamson County Fair
Ag Expo Park 
| Franklin

Enjoy the last days of summer at the Williamson County Fair! From traditional food and attractions to entertainment and competitions, this family-friendly event is beloved by all! This year, they’ve added a number of new attractions including dinosaur exhibits, the Matterhorn ride, and more!


August 9, 16, 23, and 30th- September 1: Live on the Green
Public Square Park 
| Nashville

The much anticipated (and free) Live On The Green is about to start! This yearly festival is free to the public and is presented by Lightning 100. You can enjoy the free music for Thursdays leading up the finale weekend over Labor Day! Alanna Royale, Dr. Dog, The Wild Feathers, Rayland Baxter, and Jimmy Eat World are just a few of the musicians playing this year!


Multiple Dates: Shakespeare In the Park
Centennial Park and Academy Park 
| Nashville and Franklin

Shakespeare in the Park is presenting Midsummer’s Night Dream this August! They are performing Thursdays through Sundays and Labor Day starting August 9th, running up until September 9th. Food will be available at 6 pm and performances begin at 7:30. Admission is free but they suggest a $10 donation.


August 10-11: Tomato Art Fest
Five Points Area 
| East Nashville

Come out and enjoy the 15th annual Tomato Art Fest! This free festival features “tomato-themed activities”, food and drink, music, and art! On Friday, August 10th, there will be a free concert from 6 – 9 pm. The festival kicks off on Saturday running from 9 am – 9 pm with both vendors and live music available!


August 18: Fire on the Water Music Festival

Lock 4 Park | Gallatin

Enjoy live music on the Cumberland River in Gallatin! There will be 2 stages with amazing artists, food trucks, and craft beer available. Jamestown Revival, Framing Hanley, Gabe Dixon, and more are playing!

Lucky Ladd Farms | Eagleville

Lucky Ladd Farms will be celebrating the end of summer with a treat for everyone, fresh roasted sweet corn! They are also hosting a corn eating, corn shucking, and sweet corn selfie competitions! You can purchase sweet corn and enjoy all sorts of activities (for the young and young at heart)!


August 16: Cheekwood Cocktail Crawl
Cheekwood 
| Nashville

Cheekwood is hosting a cocktail series which features walking tours, food vendors, music, and all sorts of fun! This 21 and over event runs from 5 – 10 pm. Tickets are $15 for members and $25 for non-members. As you walk along, enjoying their current exhibit, you can stop and enjoy craft cocktails at their numerous bars, making this a truly unique way to enjoy art!


August 25th: Music in the Meadow
Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary 
| Brentwood

Barrett Baber, a finalist on “The Voice” is coming to Owl’s Hill Sanctuary in Brentwood! Gates to the sanctuary will open at 5:30 for picnics, hikes, and visiting the owls and the music will start at 7 pm. Make sure to bring blankets or picnic chairs to enjoy the show!
